Massage Therapy near Shoreview, MN

Whether you live an active lifestyle, spend long hours at a desk, or simply carry stress and tension in your body, massage therapy is an incredibly effective and restorative treatment therapy. Massage therapy promotes increased circulation, breaks up adhesions/knots, supports faster recovery, and brings awareness to how your body holds and manages stress.

Our massage therapists are certified and trained to provide you with quality therapeutic massage therapy care. We offer massage therapy in a number of specialized techniques which include but are not limited to:

Deep Tissue Massage
  • Deep tissue massage is a therapeutic bodywork technique that targets the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissues. Deep tissue massage aims at working through the underlying muscles, tendons, and fascia to address chronic tension, pain, stiffness, and postural imbalances. This massage technique would be ideal for individuals experiencing long term muscular issues, limited range of motion, and recovery from physical sprains/strains and injuries.

Swedish Massage
  • Swedish massage is a gentle, full body therapy designed to melt away stress and promote deep relaxation. This technique utilizes long, flowing strokes, kneading, and circular movements. This technique is ideal for improving circulation, ease muscle tension, stress relief, muscle recovery, improved sleep, and nurtures overall wellbeing. Swedish massage is for a calming experience.

Reflexology
  • Reflexology massage is a holistic, non-invasive technique that supports the body's natural healing processes through targeted pressure points on the feet, hands, and ears. This massage technique supports: stress relief, nervous system support, improved blood/lymphatic circulation, improves sleep, stabilizes mood balance, and encourages restoration of harmony of the body's systems.

Trigger Point and Myofascial Release
  • Trigger points are tight, sensitive areas within the muscles that can cause localized and referred pain. They form when muscle fibers contract and fail to release. This can happen due to stress, overuse, poor posture, repetitious work, and injury. The trigger points over time restrict blood flow, cause tension, and  can radiate pain to other parts of the body. Trigger point therapy massage involves applying firm, sustained pressure directly to the trigger point. This massage therapy technique supports and alleviates: chronic pain, chronic stiffness, poor range of motion, and deep aches.

Orthopedic Massage
  • Orthopedic massage therapy offers targeted clinical bodywork for pain relief and functional recovery. This form of massage therapy is often coupled with Dr. Linda's treatment plans for post injury care. This modality integrates trigger point therapy, myofascial release, soft tissue mobilization, and active/passive stretching. This massage therapy technique is effective for clients/patients who have limited range of motion, repetitive use strain/sprain, and injuries from work, accident, sports, and daily life.

Pregnancy Massage
  • Pregnancy massage is a safe and nurturing experience that supports the body as it transforms to support the growth of new life. Our therapists will help guide the expecting mother into safe positioning to ensure comfort and ability to benefit from the massage. Pregnancy massage encourages improvement of:
    • Circulation and lymphatic flow
    • Decreases stress and anxiety
    • Promotes better sleep
    • Eases muscle tension and joint discomfort
    • Reduces hip, lower back, mid back, and leg pain

Massage therapy sessions are available in half hour, full hour, and 90 min sessions. Consultations before each visit will allow the massage therapist to tailor the session to fit your therapeutic needs.

Your massage therapy may be covered by insurance if it is part of your treatment plan with your health care provider or our chiropractor, Dr. Linda.
